Error Probability Analysis of Time–reversal Space–time Block Codes for Cck Transmission over Frequency–selective Mimo Fading Channels

In this paper, an approximation for the bit error rate (BER) of maximum–likelihood (ML) detection is calculated for complementary code keying (CCK) modulated wireless local area network (WLAN) transmission using time– reversal space–time block codes (TR–STBCs) and maximum ratio receive combining (MRRC). Multiple–input multiple–output (MIMO) Ricean fading intersymbol interference (ISI) channels are assumed. The derived performance approximation (PA) is based on the calculation of the pairwise error probabilities (PEPs) of the CCK code words. The resulting expressions are applied to typical indoor multipath fading channels and compared with simulation results.
